Why Nobody Takes Black People Seriously-I'm Asking for Support

Ok so I just heard about the whole Mary J. Blige Burger King Fiasco and all I gotta say is......MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That commercial is dog gone FUN-TEE! And no, not because it's actually good but because it's cornier than any thing made by Kellog's. Lol!

I honestly think that black people have lost their damn minds. So many of them were mad at Mary because she was participating in "coonery". All I can say is that it's clear that modern day kneegrows do not know what coonery is, even though they are the biggest perpetrators. Case and point.

1. Dave Chappel and other Comi-coons- how many black people got behind his career even though he continued to sell out their collective dignity for profit? How many people just sat back and laughed and okey-doked and never once thought "Hey! He is making our entire identity and struggle into a joke, mainly targeted at a white audience as we know they have the most money and enjoy seeing black people make fools of themselves. Perhaps this may have a negative effect on black children in the future if they think that the only way to become successful as a black person is to be a clown for whites."

2. The Rap/Hip-Hop industry- I think we should go ahead and rename this "Koons R Us, Inc". C-rappers, with precious few exceptions, have abandoned rap as art and have exploited it as a means to confirm every negative stereotype about black people that there ever was. We are seeing now more and more how it has also become a vehicle of not community expression but of black male expression ONLY. No longer is it "the people's music". It is simply, black men's music, focusing on denigrating black women, praising non-black women and establishing a shameful standard of masculinity for black males. But what do black males do? They defend it. Never once caring what message that sends to the world about black masculinity. Shame.

3. Abbot and Castello AKA Jesse and Al- Seriously people? Where are these clowns when it counts? What have they actually done for black people other than parade around every single time a high profile case involving a black person comes up? They aren't even good agitators or motivators so how do they actually pass as leaders again? Did you hear them rallying for Marissa Alexander? Do you hear them call black people out on their crap when they do stupid crap? Do you see them keeping blacks ACCOUNTABLE for any of the crap they do as a group that makes the situation worse for everybody and for our kids? NO! They just parade around and blame the white man for everything.

5. Black Snakes, erm, I mean, Black Pastors- The Black Church is a joke. It's such a huge scam. In any community, there is infrastructure that should be in place that is supposed to bring out the best in people. The political establishment should keep them abreast of political issues. The church or religious institution is to keep people's morals in check. The black snakes will preach all day about the evils of homosexuality and how to get rich off of Jesus, but you will be hard pressed to find them preaching just as hard anything about the evils of sex-outside of marriage, or why the Bible says that men who refuse to take care of their own flesh and blood have denied the faith. No, what you will be sold is a fundraising doctrine of fear that declares that God will punish you if you don't pay your tithes and will put curses on you because your first tenth is actually His money. Now of course that isn't written in the New Testament ANYWHERE and we are supposedly under grace, but God will curse you none the less for refusing to keep making snakes rich. Fuckers.

6. Black Misogyny- For those of you who don't know,4BlackWomenONLY made the now famous Boycott video and I just found out that it has been removed and called "Hate Speech". Yes, it's true. Now there are COUNTLESS videos all of Youtube that feature DBR's denigrating and biting into BW but they have never been pulled and never called "Hate Speech". I thought about the irony and then it dawned on me. If the black community doesn't see trashing BW as coonery and disgraceful, why should any one else? You see, we tell people how to treat us and what to think of us and one too many black people have told the world that they are a bunch of coons not worthy of respect and too many black males see nothing wrong with trashing us women. Do you still think you are a member of a loving community that puts your best interest at heart or is protecting your dignity, sister? Black women have always been the least protected women in this country and if we are serious about ending it for our daughters, we must act NOW!

*CORRECTION: Her Blackistan video has been removed, not the Boycott vid.

I want everybody who can to contact 4BlackWomenONLY either through Youtube or Facebook and let's stand in solidarity and see what we can do help. Let's also stand with Mary J. and refuse to let black hypocrisy treat her like scum while it lets losers get away with murder.

Mary J.! I support you and I respect your dignity. You are just fine with me!

Totally Random Wednesday #5- BWE Power Playlist

Chicas, this battle out of Blackistan can be long and hard. It ain't easy to keep rollin' with the punches but when we look back at the awesome heritage of womanhood from which we descend, we can keep that chin up and that upper lift stiff. Remember that you are Harriet's daughters, Sojourner's daughters. Ida's, Madame C.J.'s and Maya's daughters. We don't fall down and we don't die! When ever you need encouragement, a time to vent or just mellow out, these are some of the best songs to help you through. Music is a great way to immediately take your mind off of all the negativity. Add them to your playlist and play them while your are studying, working, building your business, losing that weight, properly vetting men. And remember that your sister JaeJae is thinking of you and cheering you on!

*Don't forget to turn the sound off on the playlist at the bottom. :-)

For Jasmine Thar- Don't let her be forgotton!

PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!!

Jasmine Thar Case Draws Comparisons to Trayvon Martin; Why Hasn’t Her Killer Been Charged?

Last December, 16 year-old Jasmine Thar was visiting family in North Carolina when a single bullet struck her, as well as her aunt and cousin. While the other two women survived, Jasmine died from her injuries.

The shooter, James Anthony Blackwell, lived across the street. He claimed his 700 model Remington rifle went off by accident. The local police believed him, and Blackwell was released without any charges being filed against him.

Thar’s family is outraged that Blackwell has not been charged. They point to the implausibility of a single bullet, fired by accident, going through a window and hitting three different people; as well as the fact that Blackwell, a white man, had confederate flags and Nazi readings and memorabilia in his bedroom, as proof that there might have been a far more sinister motive behind the shooting.

According to Forbes Magazine, the FBI is now looking into the case.

“Even an accidental death is liable for prosecution. The lack of charges against Blackwell more than five months after the shooting is disturbing. It seems incredulous that the local authorities did not, at least, file manslaughter,  negligent homicide or some other lesser charge immediately after the shooting.”

The Thar family is demanding justice for Jasmine. At the very least, they believe that a thorough investigation into the shooting needs to take place immediately.

“Jasmine Thar’s family and civil rights activist John Barnett met Wednesday morning at her former school to announce a trip back to Chadbourn, N.C., where Jasmine was killed.
The man who shot her said it was an accident, and the district attorney there said he needs more time to review evidence.
‘It’s been almost five months, nearly six (or) seven holidays passed (and) no one arrested, no testing. And so the family needs closure. We won’t sit idle and do nothing about this. We are going full force,’ Barnett said.”

Totally Random Wednesday # 4- British Babes

Ever since I was girl I have LOVED England. I used to go around speaking with a British accent and I used to really fool people too! I can't remember the very first Brit that made me go ga-ga, but I do know that there has never been a shortage of the merry old hunks that make me swoon. I thought it would be fun to post a few picks of just some of my favorites and allow others who read this blog to join me in collective, shameless slobber. Enjoy!

Matt Smith

You might know this hottie as the 11th Doctor Who on BBC. With that lovely pale skin and green eyes, he just makes you wanna abandon all and join him in an adventure through time in that little blue box of love. And when that box is rocking, no Cyberman, Dahlek or Slitheen better come knocking.

Sting

British men have been some of the world's best singers and musical talents for quite some time. Sting is always close to my heart as I first fell in love with him when I heard his song "Fields of Gold". What an awesomely romantic song. You can really get the sense that Sting is a deep man with a beautiful soul and wicked way with words that will have you melting in his arms.

Ralph Fiennes

Look at that smolder. That's a deathly glance to the hearts of unsuspecting damsels all over this world. Be careful ladies, as Ralph Fiennes is a fine specimen of a man.I absolutely loved him in Red Dragon. I didn't even care if he was a  sadistic hacker. If they all looked like him murder would be legal!

Christian Bale

Hmm, facial-hair-Christian or no facial- hair-Christian? That's what I was thinking when I was searching for pics of this most illustrious beauty. I loved him in Little Women and my heart just melted for him after he apologized for going off on some dude on set. Since I don't want to hurt facial-hair Christian's feelings I'm adding both for your viewing delight!

Oh Christian! You make this American, Psycho!!!!!!!

Kenneth Branaugh

Kenneth, Kenneth. I don't know wherefore your mama named you Kenneth, but I do know a rose called by your name would indeed be sweeter.  I'm not sure if Shakespeare really was gay, but I'm pretty sure he'd be gay for you!

Billy Idol

All the reasons I love the '80's can be wrapped in one phrase" Rock the Cradle of Love". I'll never forget seeing that video on VH-1 was the first time I realized I love rock music- and Billy Idol. With 29 years between us, Billy, you can most certainly rock my---well, that'll just sound so wrong! LOL! I love you, Billy! :-P

 Burn Gorman

Yes, ladies. His name....is Burn. And it's more than appropriate. What prophetic parents he must have had, to realize that their little bundle of joy would grow up and melt hearts with his piercing brown eyes. I loved him in BBC's Bleak House mini-series (if you got Netflix, watch it!) and he just so happens to be a musician. He was also born in America. *gasp* Oh no! That's okay, Burn, honey. We forgive you! Lol!

Hugh Grant

This "Four Weddings and a Funeral" Star is just too much man for this All-American girl. I'll admit! I just can't handle the power of that heart-stopping gaze. Oh, thank God none of us were born during the Revolution. If they'd put this hunk in front of the canons, we would have been doomed!!!

Richard Armitage

And speaking of the Revolutionary War, seeing this picture to the left is the first time I ever wished we'd lost! So not fair! So not freakin' fair! Oh, Richard, darling! If you ever want to trade the Union Jack for the Stars and Stripes, the ladies of the US would happily swap you out for this poor imitation. (And we wonder why nobody buys American anymore! *hand to face*)

Oh god! I just can't stand it! I think we need a triple dose of Brit Rich to thoroughly cleanse our visual palates!

*sigh* Ah! There! Now, moving on......

Christopher Eccleston

Hey! Why don't we just get the 9th Doctor Who to take us back in time in the TARDIS and set the record straight! That's right, Chris! We are depending upon you! Gawd, what is it with British dudes and their ears?  I just looovvveee those ears. And eyes. And smile. And lips and....oh who am I kidding? If I get stuck in a TARDIS with Christopher Eccleston, I'm never leaving! Revolution be damned!

Rufus Sewell

I have loved this hunk ever since "A Knight's Tale". I think it's that dark hair combined with sexy green eyes. It was one of the only times I think I ever actually sided with a villain in the movie. And oh what a good bad boy you are, Rufus. I love to love ya!

*AND*

Rufus gets double hottie points for thinking about future generations of girls who will be in much need of eye candy with people like Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne having the nerve to breed. That's right, ladies. He procreated. Aw, Rufus! Thanks for letting us know how much you cared! We knew you wouldn't let us down.

What an absolutely adorable boy!

Last and most certainly not least........

Luke Goss

I will never forget the first time I saw him in Blade 2. He was a bloodthirsty, vampiric mess but I still couldn't wait for the credits to roll up so that I could find out what the heck his name was! What an adorable man! I am honestly baffled as to why he isn't as well-known than he could be in the US. He's so talented and easy on the eyes. Just lovely! Oh and there is DOUBLE hottie points for him too! Or should I say quadruple as this Hottie McHot-Hot has an equally steamy twin!

Matt Goss

No you aren't seeing double! You are simply seeing proof that God is real! Hello! Meet Matt Goss! He and Luke actually used to be in a British boy band called Bros. They had lots of hits and Matt still writes songs and sings. With eyes like a clear blue sea and big strong arms to hold you tight, he could sing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and still top the charts. Thank you Goss boys for being the double dose of yum that a girl needs! Bless your mother's womb!

Well, that's all for now. When ever you're feeling down and tired of dealing with life's little problems, just come back here and dream for a spell. And if you're using a public computer, have the decency to wipe the drool from the key board before you go!

Happy Hump Day!
