I am not a Strong Black Woman. I am a Human Being and I am in pain.

I just got off the phone with a relative. I told them that I wanted to see a psychiatrist because, amongst other things, I believe I have OCD and I have had clinical depression for years. They became angry and told me that I don't need a psychiatrist, I just needed to "sit my ass down" and that I was a Strong Black Woman. I was shocked.

"Lot's of people have OCD. Who cares?"

But it is ruining my life.

"You just take everything as a learning experience and then you move on."

But this thing is crippling my life. I need help.

"Being a Strong Black Woman doesn't mean that you can't have a break down. It means that you don't let situations in life keep you down and you just keep going."

"I'm seeing the psychiatrist." I said. "Whatever." they replied, "I don't agree." *click*

And this is why we are dying.

Why is seeking professional help from a trained, knowledgeable and licensed therapist a sign that I, as a Black Woman, am weak? Who ever said that my being born a black female should mean that an essential part of my humanity- the right to succumb to pain- should be invalidated? How am I stronger than anyone else? Why do I have to be super human? Does God not count my tears?

Last week, I was reading Youtube comments on the trailer for the movie Dark Girls. The two comments rated the highest were ridiculing the women in video for complaining instead of celebrating their color and one even said that dark skinned girls aren't the victims they make themselves out to be. Why is it that when other people kick us down, they turn around and ridicule us for crying out in pain?

What kind of people are they? What right has anyone to reduce me to a color or to a stereotype that strips me of all the DNA and privilege of being a human? I am in the worst and most incredible amount of pain that I have ever been in. I can't tell you how many times this past month alone I have considered suicide. I am drowning inside. I am suffocating. Sometimes I really do think it would be better if I wasn't here. What on earth did I do to deserve such dismissal of my life? What human law did I violate that renders my crushed and bleeding soul invisible? What. Did. I. Do.? I will never understand it. Why would you care? If you aren't going to be there for me and support me when I tell you that I am hurting, then just what the fuck do you care if I go and get myself help? If you aren't going to save me, then what is it to you if I save myself? If you aren't going to wipe my tears, then why let it bother you if they're falling? I'm cracked. I just don't know how else to say it. I'm absolutely shattered and I don't know how to get myself back together.

Why does my breaking heart offend you?

My AMBW Movement Rant-It had to be said!

I find men of all nationalities and persuasions attractive. I see nothing wrong with intercultural relationships and I support any sister who wants to pursue any possible combination. I am always so glad when I see my sisters happy in love but I have to admit, I am a little worried about a certain movement that seems to be gaining some momentum. PLEASE hear me out, my dears, because this could be the difference between heart break and joy.

Many of you may know about the AMBW or Asian Man Black Woman Movement. Basically, it's a movement that states that since both Asian males and Black women are often quite marginalized in the dating world, perhaps they should try dating each other. On the surface, it sounds pretty cool. But there is something creepy about it. Now bare something in mind: I am not speaking of the normal, every day pairing of AMBW, but rather this movement to pair them. Doesn't it just sound a little creepy to you? It makes both sides just look sadly desperate.

What bothers me ultimately is that it is clear that members on both sides have some sort of fetish and the quality of people being attracted to this movement is just low. Sorry. I can't tell you how many desperate Asian guys with "swag" I have seen talking like they were raised in Compton or Philly and basically perpetuating the negative black stereotypes that us normal black people have to fight everyday. What bothers me most, is why on EARTH would a black women who wants something different accept this hood/ghetto behavior from them? Where the fuck are your standards?

Now for those of you who are normal and just want to date a guy regardless of whether or not he's Asian, there are some things that you need to know.

1. First and foremost, he's a guy. Just like any other. He's not some special category of man and, in spite of what you see in the karate movies, he doesn't have super powers. He's just a dude. Burps like a dude. Farts like a dude. Puts his pants on just like any other dude. Don't expect him to just be able to bounce off of walls and leap from buildings, ok? Just be cool.

2. If he has a problem introducing you to his family or acts weird when he is with you in public or around his Asian friends-DUMP HIM! As I stated elsewhere, I am an abstinence advocate. It is just better not to have sex outside of marriage but if you do, I would certainly recommend waiting until you had known him long and met his family. There is just no better way of knowing whether or not it's love or experimentation. If you are going to be part of his life, then you need to be an intimate part. By intimate I mean that you are in with his family and friends and you are enjoying all the benefits that comes with being someones life partner. If he can't give you that, then don't give him any of you! You must establish intimacy first. Remember-No Intimacy, No Sex.

3. You do not want to be fetishized so you also shouldn't be fetishizing anyone else. Like I stated in point one, all men are pretty much the same. It has always baffled me when people say they have a "thing" for someone of another race. If you have a "thing" you have a problem. Now I am not talking about being physically attracted to certain features. I mean actually attributing some otherworldly quality to someone because of their race or ethnicity. If you recognize a general shared value system, for example, Asian men usually value marriage and are very involved with their children, that's one thing. BUT if you assume that Asian men possess superpowers then you have a serious delusion.  What you should be looking for is who you share values with. Find out what you value first and then look for that in another person. If you are religious, look for someone who shares that same zeal. If you are passionate about your political leanings, find someone who shares them. Color, ethnicity, race- those are just details to be worked out after. Now if he is Asian, his family's values are also going to be a major part of his life. Traditionally, Asian parents are influential all throughout adulthood and he isn't going to choose between them and you. It will always be them. You have to decide if you want to be a trailblazer or not.

Now let me tell you what prompted this little rant of mine. On my Youtube page, I often subscribe to sisters who are swirling and I have subbied to a few AMBW girls.  By doing such, I get all kinds of recommended videos and I have come across so many from BW that just make them look sad and pathetic. Shamelessly chasing Asian men, stalking them and speaking for all black women. I have to honestly say that I am shamed and embarrassed at some of these girls. I cringe when I watch these vids. Now, I always knew that something was odd about these various groups but then I came across an Asian guy who got so sick of seeing, he had to call the shit out.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Since first finding that video, I have not particularly cared for the guy who made it and after reading some more of his comments recently, I will not be linking to his page or giving him views. I can't stand him.*

Ladies: is this what you have been reduced too? Getting rightfully chastened online by somebody like this? Seriously? Wow.

I am sickened by what I have seen from this thing and I never thought dating an Asian guy would be all that different from dating a white guy but if this is the kind of community they are building, I wouldn't want to be a part of it for my life. My main complaint is that ultimately, there is no kind of vetting to ensure that proper standards of behavior and decency are being maintained and clearly no way of ensuring that fetishists are screened. Now please don't think my criticizing of black women involved in this in anyway means I am giving an excuse to Asian males, who are really no better. I know of a particular site run by an Asian male with a very shady history and it baffles me that black women and Asian men alike, knowing this still go there, but whatever. My point in addressing black women is that theirs is the behavior that is going to affect me  and that is why I am saying what I am saying.

Please step back and take a look at yourself. You are proving stereotypes to be true. Put down the K-dramas and and the J-pop and come out of that fantasy world and realize that men are just men, no matter what they look like or where they come from. You are representing black womanhood and from what I have seen, many of you are not putting us in the best light and you most certainly aren't representing me.

I just had to get this off of my chest and I hope I have not offended AMBW members who are sincere in their love for the spouse/partner and are equally bothered by some of the behaviors I have described. If you are still open to it I say go for it, but I would recommend staying away from some of these groups and some of these Youtube people because they are cray-cray. Just meet somebody in a library or at the mall or the grocery store and strike up a conversation. Let them know you are interested and be yourself. It's easy.

Choose Wisely!

So this is my first meme that got a lot of positive reviews! I got more coming enjoy!

Now. To the Toon! "Choose Wisely!"

What I was trying to achieve here is truth. Brutal truth. There simply is no "community" as a community would nurture, protect and guard the dignity of all it's members. Unfortunately, I feel that one too many (ok, the vast majority) Black Women simply believe that they come from a strong community for know other reason than they simply want to believe it. But the cold hard truth is that Blackistan is not a place of love, nurture and affirmation- its one of brutal assault on their psyche and spirits and no one but other Black Women come to their defense.

How much longer, dear sister, are you going to allow yourself to be spat upon? How much longer are you going to keep the scales over your eyes? It is now or never. Make the choices in life that are best for YOU. Never, ever believe that in order to get love, you must contort yourself into the fantasy of sick males. It is your goddess-given right as a woman- the one who nurtures and sustains life- to be protected and loved. I honestly ask you to look around and see what is going on. Before you get all upset and say I am "betraying the race" consider my argument. And why wouldn't you? Every time some black male criticizes you listen and tell your self that you are just taking constructive criticism. Why not listen to me, your sister and the one who can not stop sharing your same experiences no matter what. Look at the rape statistic, blatant misogyny and ill-treatment of women in the black community. Why do the men rally around the Tookie Williams and Genarlo Wilsons, but not the Rekia Boyds or Marissa Alexanders? What other cultures allow it's so called "cultural music" to openly denigrate and/or erase it's women? I am begging you to wake up. You have never known the degradation of being a slave master's whore because your grandmothers before you fought for your dignity. So why do you still allow your self- which has been bought at so precious a price- to be slandered by any so-called "community"?

You will either fight for your own happiness, or be sacrificed for someone else's. And haven't we as Black Women already sacrificed enough?

If Immitation is the best form of flattery....

....then I'd hate to see what the hell most people who imitate "black culture" would do if they hated us!

What I am I talking about? These very interesting members of a subculture in Britain known as "Chavs". Now I  don't even know how I came across this but I discovered this online, needless to say. Apparently they are low-income, crass, dependent upon government assistance and violent. Or at least that's the steryotype. Though the origin of the word is disputed, it is similar to what we in American know as "white trash". Now, I must be fair when I say that these are all STEREOTYPES of a particular class of people and I am not one for putting anybody in a box they don't want to be in.What I will also say is that their behavior is just a little to similar to ghetto blacks and I can not help but conclude that this is exactly what they are imitating. Some things they are non for include:

For women:

 For men:
 Check this out from eHow.

Now, there has been some criticism saying that this is just people making fun of hard working, working class whites in England and for those of you who don't know, classicism is England's racism. All I can say is, it's very disturbing. I am sure that not everyone is involved in crime and violence but I think it just goes to show haw destructive hip-hop influence is. If this is happening to kids in England, what do you think it means fro kids growing up in Detroit, St. Louis or Memphis? Please turn the shit off!

Anybody ever heard of The Daily Kos?

I was looking up some pics of Black Women to post on my blog as I am celebrating women with flat noses and I cam across this website called The Daily Kos. I was delighted to find that last year, someone there defended the honor and beauty of Black Women from that dredful feux-scienist who will remain unnamed. I was so delighted to read and I wanted to pass it along to any sisters who may have political Democrat sympathies as I believe that this is what the site deals with. Here is some more info!

Wiki FAQs

Page I was referring to.

I don't know what color or sex the writer was, but I d appreciate their breaking down the info and being a voice of reason in our defense. Check them out and remember that Black Women are......

I have no catchy title for this one. Too pissed.

Thank you, Father Attucks!
So, I just posted this on my Facebook (FB is the reason I haven't been posting here lately. Hehe!)

Ok. So I just for the first time heard Chris Rock's whole "Black's vs. Niggas" and.....wow! How he thought that whole display of coonery wouldn't put him in the latter category is beyond me. All that does is invite outsiders to disrespect the members of his group, who don't have his fame and money.
You know, we talk a lot about rappers and how they sell out all people of black American descent, but what about comedians like him and that evil Chepelle? (I hate him BTW) Why can't these fools rely on their own talent and stop wit the race gimmicks? Why do they not give a crap about how that effects the rest of us and future generations? And why do so many dull-minded "blacks" back up coonery? I don't get it.

Add to that his really dumb Tweet about the 4th of July. I had mentioned to someone earlier that Crispus Attucks was an African/Native American biracial man who gave his life for the Revolution and I'm sure he was thinking about future generations of US. So why not call it Crispus Attucks Day, if you want to relate it to our unique history. Geesh.

Then something else came up. I was looking up an article and came across someone who had posted about his and a few other controversies over the holiday and something said there shocked me. I really like this gorgeous French actress named Julie Delpy. She made this awesome film about Countess Erzebet Bathory. If you have Netflix give it a watch. It's called "The Countess". She wrote and directed it and I was psyched to see that she was staring in another Indie all her own called 2 Days in New York and I was totally revved up to see it....until I saw who her love interest was-Chris Rock. Now bare in mind, this was BEFORE the Twitter incident. I didn't want to see any movie with him because I loathe his whole "Good Hair" clown show. Then this incident happened and now I read something very, very depressing from the author of this article:

"Rock has yet to respond to the social media "backlash," instead moving on by promoting the upcoming iTunes release of 2 Days In New York—Julie Delpy's neurotic indie romance that Middle America is totally not going to watch now."

That honestly saddens me. Think about it, many people probably don't know who Julie is, and the idea that her work could be tainted in anyway by Rock's actions just sickens me.I hope that doesn't happen. I really do.

What sickens me even more is why don't more black people in general understand that by not checking these types of people that, what this person predicts will happen to Julie, will happen to the rest of us? Why? Why do they support on principle any  person just because they are black? Isn't that racism? Why not vet them to see if they are truly in the best interests of the people or just using their identity to sell out everyone else for personal gain. Take the blinders off and realize that supporting so-called members of your group who do not reflect your values is not in your best interest.

Happy Belated Fourth!

So me and Jesus totally broke up!

One of the DUMBEST things anybody ever told me was that the followers of a religion should not be looked to as the best examples of how it should be practiced. To this day, I scratch my head at the crazy formulations people will come up with just to believe that they have "the truth".

I have been Christian my whole life. I got an incredible family and I feel lucky because they aren't hipoChristians. My hiatus from the Christian religion actually has less to do with Christians or even Jesus and more to do with the institution of the Christian faith and the BS they ask you to believe. It's complete bollocks. I have especially found it hard considering the state of the black Church which is even more bollocks than any other church, but I digress.

Actually, I have a problem with all three of the major Abrahamic religions. If you actually study the history of those religions, especially their holy books, you will see really, REALLY big problems. The problem with Christians however is that they are so convinced that they are the only ones who are right, that they they will ignore common sense to hang onto their myths.

Now I'm all for believing what ever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone, but Christians suffer from MAJOR cognitive dissonance. They claim to have an all-loving all-knowing god who tortures people for all enternity in some lake of fire when he KNEW before he made them that this would happen. The thing that really gets me is that in order to save their gods reputation, they actually put the blame for the fall back on human beings even though god supposedly knew and knows everything. WTF?

Second, the vast majority of Christians DO NOT study church history or doctrinal development. How many know when the church started? The common ecumenical councils held in equal authority by both the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches and their significance to all Christians worldwide? Who Eusebius was and his significance to the Bible? The Filoque Clause? Who wrote the Bible and how it was compiled? The history of the Bible and why it's authority? What the hyperstatic union is? The Early Church Fathers and why they are important? The difference between Arminiansim and Calvinism? The additional verses that were added to the Bible and why they are important? The difference between the Protestant Reformation and the Radical Reformation? Whether or not the Bible is meant to be taken literally? And I could go one forever. Ultimately, you don't have to study to be a Christian. You simply have to be a sheep.

Then there is the hell thing. Not only is it a sick and twisted torture chamber for a supposedly good god.....it's not even Christian. It's an idea that was grandfathered in from earlier pagan traditions. If one read the Old Testament the CORRECT way, every reference to hell is in actuality a reference to the grave. This is why in the Jewish religion to this day, there is no concept of hell. When Jesus talks of "hell" in the New Testament, not only does he use three different Greek words but he is speaking figuratively. I find it so funny that Christians take the scripture literally for anything he says about hell, but when he says "Turn the other cheek", that the divorced should remain unmarried or else they commit adultery and warns against accumulating riches in this life, it's all of a sudden symbolic. LOL! They will find all sorts of "scriptural" excuses to explain them away. And why can there NOT be a goddess. If I'm not mistaken, Genesis 1:27  says:

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

Wouldn't it be blasphemous then to say that god is not BOTH male and female?

Now don't get me wrong. The message of Jesus is IMPECCABLE. I think he is a fantastic teacher and wonderful person to emulate. It's the CHURCH and all the bullshit myths they have spouted over the centuries that I have a problem with. Let's not even get into Christians virulent hatred of all other religions and religious people because they don't have "the truth". The Abrahamic are the ONLY religions that actively teach anti-religious hate. They will talk about how much they "love" when in reality, they have the utmost contempt for people who don't worship god the way they do. It is the only religion where you can be a bigot in the name of god and still convince yourself that you are a good person. The god of Abraham, Issac and Jacob has yet to prove that he is good, as far as I am concerned.

So, what religion does JaeJae practice now? Not one in particular really though I do favor African spirituality. I love learning about Chukwu, Chango, Yemaya and Oshun as much as I love Jesus (the person not the myth) and I also like Voodun as well as our own AFRICAN AMERICAN Hoodoo religion. But off course, blacks have been taught such religious self-hatred, thanks to Christianity, African religions, which are some of the richest, most peaceful religions on the planet, have been demonized.

So, that's it for me and Jesus the super hero. I'll take the Jesus the regular guy any day, but at this point, I'm also open to other suitors.

This is Oshun. Isn't she lovely!

Didn't I tell you? Don't let OUTSIDERS run your house!

I just read another sad and sorry proof that the Black Community project is an utter failure. I was on Facebook (a phenomena I still have yet to master. What the heck is a "wall" and how do you post stuff? (*UPDATE: I just figured this out! YAY!) when I came across this crazy fiasco about Gweneth Paltrow and her use of the N-word.  *sigh*Remember when I told you about the Poser Patrol? Well, here is proof of it. Didn't I tell you EXACTLY about this? I wish I had a TARDIS and could go back in time to the early the 80's and show the stupid, ignorant and massive unconscious members of the Black Community Project what happens when they fail to police riff-raff members who use their ethnic identity as an means to financial gain. You know what happens:

YOU EFFECT US ALL!!!!!

Let me tell you where I think it all went wrong.

1.Using ethnic identity as a vehicle to gain acceptance. This might sound confusing, but let me explain. From comedians to gangsta rap to interracial relationships, blacks have used their blackness as a tool to gain a foothold somewhere. Bare in mind, this is different than the freedom fight, as the freedom fight properly sheds light on a peoples' plights and shows the rest of the world how it ultimately effects everyone. However, blacks have for too long used their blackness as a platform to gain personally. When you do that, you not only FORCE people to see you as a color and not a person, but you sell out every other black person and establish a norm for how the general population treats them and is allowed to relate to them.

I mentioned on Facebook that in reality, the rap/hip-hop industry IS the authority on modern day black identity. Not the the church, not great forefathers or foremothers of the past but these freaks. Think about it: what freaking right did Nas have to give Paltrow the right to be participate in OUR ethnic identity? Who else on the planet does that? Who else on EARTH invites people to disrespect their own and give them EQUAL AUTHORITY in their own house? This is why so many people have NO RESPECT for black people. This is pure stupidity. She is an OUTSIDER and she does not have my permission to use a word that I don't think black people should be using. She is a blond, straight haired, white Jewish woman and therefore not my equal in my house as she does not reflect me.

2.Not maintaining an insular cultural infrastructure- Many people note how black Americans were more united in times past, in spite of greater adversity. If anybody has studied the history of the Reconstruction, you would know that great effort was made by free and former slaves to establish much needed infrastructure and ministries to help former slaves adapt to free life. The history on this is FASCINATING. Women's finishing schools, the start of HBCU's, the black church when it actually did what it's supposed to do, black schools and the list goes on. So much intellectual and cultural gain. So much "wealth". They were always sub-par in many cases compared to their white counterparts, but these are the institutions that any people need to build pride and instil dignity among their group.

So what happened? Integration happened. The problem wasn't with integration itself. The problem was with assimilation. While it is true that everyone in a multicultural nation must assimilate into certain mores of behaiviors and norms, what is NOT true- and what happend in the BC- is that they ABANDONED their insular community and it's infrastructure. Don't you think it just odd, that black children learn black history from non-black peeopl? Don't you find it odd, that the black church doesn't take this up or keep the people spiritually accountable or teach the history of the black church? Isn't it a little funny that all of the financial buying power of black Americans is NEVER directed at their self-preservation? You know why? Because the infrastructure is gone.

3.A refusal to self-criticize and self-police-Unfortunately in the black community, criticism of anything black people do, or the mere suggestion that the great bulk of their problems are their own and nobody else's is considered racist. For those of you who don't know, the term "Blaming the Victim" actually came about after the Moynihan Report, a study done in the '60's by a man named Robert B. Moynihan. He did a study showing that the raise of matriarchy- black women with jobs and black men without them- would cause drastic consequences for black families. His report, which is really a prophecy, suggested that black people had to do more to get themselves out this problem and avoid the predictions Moynihan saw coming. And what happened? A counter-argument called "Blaming the Victim" is what happened. A book that basically said that Moynihan was a racist and that the real problem was racism and he was big big meanie for blaming the poor and yadda yadda. *sigh*

Now a note about the matriarchy thing. Many DBR'S often say that the black community is a matriarchy in the sense that women run everything. What they miss- and what I think Moynihan missed as well to an extent, is the successful indoctrination that goes on in black communities as far as telling a woman what her place is- submitted to a man. The matriarchy that Moynihan was really describing was NOT birthed from, ball-busting, emasculating unruly females. It was birthed by a racist economic disadvantage that put black women in a catch-22 situation as both bread-winner and submitted, obedient back-bone of the community. I beg of you- READ THAT WHOLE REPORT. The man was calling for national action to save black families and what did he get? Slapped in the face by the very people his report was to help and the government he asked to help chose instead to fight the Vietnam War. Please. Read it.

Conclusions:

The reason this has gone on for so long is because most black people view themselves as part of a "people" when in reality, they are simply a number of people who share heritage and experiences. A defining characteristic of a people is that they self-preserve. That's the difference. Allowing no-goods to have free reign and license to kill and refusing to hold people to a standard of conduct and honor is NOT self-preserving behavior. It's a self-imposed genocide. What binds people together more than anything is shared values, not color, but black people have been taught the opposite- they believe their color is the basis of their identity and not their values. The lack of ethnic pride is an added problem that those of us who are truly proud will have to solve in our own why by showing pride in some other way than just saying we are proud- we must act.

If you want to see a change, YOU MUST start to make a distinction between yourself and ignorant people of your ethnic group. YOU MUST make it abundantly clear that you will not be defined by people who have no authority over your ethnic identity and YOU MUST not be afraid to combat the Unity Police. Stand against those people who try to run your ethnic identity into the ground and use it for their own personal gain. STOP THEM. SPEAK OUT against them. Refuse to associate with them. Do NOT make yourself into a clown to gain other people's acceptance and never support those that do.If you are truly proud of the amazing people you come from, then acknowledge that pruning is way past due. We owe it to the men and women who stood against all odds for us, whose trials and adversities we will never experience only because they fought so that we wouldn't. Don't you DARE be afraid to put an end to this nonsense. Do not shame your ancestors. You have never faced fear like they have. It is because of them that you don't know what fear is. But if you don't act now, the children born now just might.

Why Nobody Takes Black People Seriously-I'm Asking for Support

Ok so I just heard about the whole Mary J. Blige Burger King Fiasco and all I gotta say is......MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! That commercial is dog gone FUN-TEE! And no, not because it's actually good but because it's cornier than any thing made by Kellog's. Lol!

I honestly think that black people have lost their damn minds. So many of them were mad at Mary because she was participating in "coonery". All I can say is that it's clear that modern day kneegrows do not know what coonery is, even though they are the biggest perpetrators. Case and point.

1. Dave Chappel and other Comi-coons- how many black people got behind his career even though he continued to sell out their collective dignity for profit? How many people just sat back and laughed and okey-doked and never once thought "Hey! He is making our entire identity and struggle into a joke, mainly targeted at a white audience as we know they have the most money and enjoy seeing black people make fools of themselves. Perhaps this may have a negative effect on black children in the future if they think that the only way to become successful as a black person is to be a clown for whites."

2. The Rap/Hip-Hop industry- I think we should go ahead and rename this "Koons R Us, Inc". C-rappers, with precious few exceptions, have abandoned rap as art and have exploited it as a means to confirm every negative stereotype about black people that there ever was. We are seeing now more and more how it has also become a vehicle of not community expression but of black male expression ONLY. No longer is it "the people's music". It is simply, black men's music, focusing on denigrating black women, praising non-black women and establishing a shameful standard of masculinity for black males. But what do black males do? They defend it. Never once caring what message that sends to the world about black masculinity. Shame.

3. Abbot and Castello AKA Jesse and Al- Seriously people? Where are these clowns when it counts? What have they actually done for black people other than parade around every single time a high profile case involving a black person comes up? They aren't even good agitators or motivators so how do they actually pass as leaders again? Did you hear them rallying for Marissa Alexander? Do you hear them call black people out on their crap when they do stupid crap? Do you see them keeping blacks ACCOUNTABLE for any of the crap they do as a group that makes the situation worse for everybody and for our kids? NO! They just parade around and blame the white man for everything.

5. Black Snakes, erm, I mean, Black Pastors- The Black Church is a joke. It's such a huge scam. In any community, there is infrastructure that should be in place that is supposed to bring out the best in people. The political establishment should keep them abreast of political issues. The church or religious institution is to keep people's morals in check. The black snakes will preach all day about the evils of homosexuality and how to get rich off of Jesus, but you will be hard pressed to find them preaching just as hard anything about the evils of sex-outside of marriage, or why the Bible says that men who refuse to take care of their own flesh and blood have denied the faith. No, what you will be sold is a fundraising doctrine of fear that declares that God will punish you if you don't pay your tithes and will put curses on you because your first tenth is actually His money. Now of course that isn't written in the New Testament ANYWHERE and we are supposedly under grace, but God will curse you none the less for refusing to keep making snakes rich. Fuckers.

6. Black Misogyny- For those of you who don't know,4BlackWomenONLY made the now famous Boycott video and I just found out that it has been removed and called "Hate Speech". Yes, it's true. Now there are COUNTLESS videos all of Youtube that feature DBR's denigrating and biting into BW but they have never been pulled and never called "Hate Speech". I thought about the irony and then it dawned on me. If the black community doesn't see trashing BW as coonery and disgraceful, why should any one else? You see, we tell people how to treat us and what to think of us and one too many black people have told the world that they are a bunch of coons not worthy of respect and too many black males see nothing wrong with trashing us women. Do you still think you are a member of a loving community that puts your best interest at heart or is protecting your dignity, sister? Black women have always been the least protected women in this country and if we are serious about ending it for our daughters, we must act NOW!

*CORRECTION: Her Blackistan video has been removed, not the Boycott vid.

I want everybody who can to contact 4BlackWomenONLY either through Youtube or Facebook and let's stand in solidarity and see what we can do help. Let's also stand with Mary J. and refuse to let black hypocrisy treat her like scum while it lets losers get away with murder.

Mary J.! I support you and I respect your dignity. You are just fine with me!

Totally Random Wednesday #5- BWE Power Playlist

Chicas, this battle out of Blackistan can be long and hard. It ain't easy to keep rollin' with the punches but when we look back at the awesome heritage of womanhood from which we descend, we can keep that chin up and that upper lift stiff. Remember that you are Harriet's daughters, Sojourner's daughters. Ida's, Madame C.J.'s and Maya's daughters. We don't fall down and we don't die! When ever you need encouragement, a time to vent or just mellow out, these are some of the best songs to help you through. Music is a great way to immediately take your mind off of all the negativity. Add them to your playlist and play them while your are studying, working, building your business, losing that weight, properly vetting men. And remember that your sister JaeJae is thinking of you and cheering you on!

*Don't forget to turn the sound off on the playlist at the bottom. :-)

For Jasmine Thar- Don't let her be forgotton!

PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!!!!!!!

Jasmine Thar Case Draws Comparisons to Trayvon Martin; Why Hasn’t Her Killer Been Charged?

Last December, 16 year-old Jasmine Thar was visiting family in North Carolina when a single bullet struck her, as well as her aunt and cousin. While the other two women survived, Jasmine died from her injuries.

The shooter, James Anthony Blackwell, lived across the street. He claimed his 700 model Remington rifle went off by accident. The local police believed him, and Blackwell was released without any charges being filed against him.

Thar’s family is outraged that Blackwell has not been charged. They point to the implausibility of a single bullet, fired by accident, going through a window and hitting three different people; as well as the fact that Blackwell, a white man, had confederate flags and Nazi readings and memorabilia in his bedroom, as proof that there might have been a far more sinister motive behind the shooting.

According to Forbes Magazine, the FBI is now looking into the case.

“Even an accidental death is liable for prosecution. The lack of charges against Blackwell more than five months after the shooting is disturbing. It seems incredulous that the local authorities did not, at least, file manslaughter,  negligent homicide or some other lesser charge immediately after the shooting.”

The Thar family is demanding justice for Jasmine. At the very least, they believe that a thorough investigation into the shooting needs to take place immediately.

“Jasmine Thar’s family and civil rights activist John Barnett met Wednesday morning at her former school to announce a trip back to Chadbourn, N.C., where Jasmine was killed.
The man who shot her said it was an accident, and the district attorney there said he needs more time to review evidence.
‘It’s been almost five months, nearly six (or) seven holidays passed (and) no one arrested, no testing. And so the family needs closure. We won’t sit idle and do nothing about this. We are going full force,’ Barnett said.”

Totally Random Wednesday # 4- British Babes

Ever since I was girl I have LOVED England. I used to go around speaking with a British accent and I used to really fool people too! I can't remember the very first Brit that made me go ga-ga, but I do know that there has never been a shortage of the merry old hunks that make me swoon. I thought it would be fun to post a few picks of just some of my favorites and allow others who read this blog to join me in collective, shameless slobber. Enjoy!

Matt Smith

You might know this hottie as the 11th Doctor Who on BBC. With that lovely pale skin and green eyes, he just makes you wanna abandon all and join him in an adventure through time in that little blue box of love. And when that box is rocking, no Cyberman, Dahlek or Slitheen better come knocking.

Sting

British men have been some of the world's best singers and musical talents for quite some time. Sting is always close to my heart as I first fell in love with him when I heard his song "Fields of Gold". What an awesomely romantic song. You can really get the sense that Sting is a deep man with a beautiful soul and wicked way with words that will have you melting in his arms.

Ralph Fiennes

Look at that smolder. That's a deathly glance to the hearts of unsuspecting damsels all over this world. Be careful ladies, as Ralph Fiennes is a fine specimen of a man.I absolutely loved him in Red Dragon. I didn't even care if he was a  sadistic hacker. If they all looked like him murder would be legal!

Christian Bale

Hmm, facial-hair-Christian or no facial- hair-Christian? That's what I was thinking when I was searching for pics of this most illustrious beauty. I loved him in Little Women and my heart just melted for him after he apologized for going off on some dude on set. Since I don't want to hurt facial-hair Christian's feelings I'm adding both for your viewing delight!

Oh Christian! You make this American, Psycho!!!!!!!

Kenneth Branaugh

Kenneth, Kenneth. I don't know wherefore your mama named you Kenneth, but I do know a rose called by your name would indeed be sweeter.  I'm not sure if Shakespeare really was gay, but I'm pretty sure he'd be gay for you!

Billy Idol

All the reasons I love the '80's can be wrapped in one phrase" Rock the Cradle of Love". I'll never forget seeing that video on VH-1 was the first time I realized I love rock music- and Billy Idol. With 29 years between us, Billy, you can most certainly rock my---well, that'll just sound so wrong! LOL! I love you, Billy! :-P

 Burn Gorman

Yes, ladies. His name....is Burn. And it's more than appropriate. What prophetic parents he must have had, to realize that their little bundle of joy would grow up and melt hearts with his piercing brown eyes. I loved him in BBC's Bleak House mini-series (if you got Netflix, watch it!) and he just so happens to be a musician. He was also born in America. *gasp* Oh no! That's okay, Burn, honey. We forgive you! Lol!

Hugh Grant

This "Four Weddings and a Funeral" Star is just too much man for this All-American girl. I'll admit! I just can't handle the power of that heart-stopping gaze. Oh, thank God none of us were born during the Revolution. If they'd put this hunk in front of the canons, we would have been doomed!!!

Richard Armitage

And speaking of the Revolutionary War, seeing this picture to the left is the first time I ever wished we'd lost! So not fair! So not freakin' fair! Oh, Richard, darling! If you ever want to trade the Union Jack for the Stars and Stripes, the ladies of the US would happily swap you out for this poor imitation. (And we wonder why nobody buys American anymore! *hand to face*)

Oh god! I just can't stand it! I think we need a triple dose of Brit Rich to thoroughly cleanse our visual palates!

*sigh* Ah! There! Now, moving on......

Christopher Eccleston

Hey! Why don't we just get the 9th Doctor Who to take us back in time in the TARDIS and set the record straight! That's right, Chris! We are depending upon you! Gawd, what is it with British dudes and their ears?  I just looovvveee those ears. And eyes. And smile. And lips and....oh who am I kidding? If I get stuck in a TARDIS with Christopher Eccleston, I'm never leaving! Revolution be damned!

Rufus Sewell

I have loved this hunk ever since "A Knight's Tale". I think it's that dark hair combined with sexy green eyes. It was one of the only times I think I ever actually sided with a villain in the movie. And oh what a good bad boy you are, Rufus. I love to love ya!

*AND*

Rufus gets double hottie points for thinking about future generations of girls who will be in much need of eye candy with people like Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne having the nerve to breed. That's right, ladies. He procreated. Aw, Rufus! Thanks for letting us know how much you cared! We knew you wouldn't let us down.

What an absolutely adorable boy!

Last and most certainly not least........

Luke Goss

I will never forget the first time I saw him in Blade 2. He was a bloodthirsty, vampiric mess but I still couldn't wait for the credits to roll up so that I could find out what the heck his name was! What an adorable man! I am honestly baffled as to why he isn't as well-known than he could be in the US. He's so talented and easy on the eyes. Just lovely! Oh and there is DOUBLE hottie points for him too! Or should I say quadruple as this Hottie McHot-Hot has an equally steamy twin!

Matt Goss

No you aren't seeing double! You are simply seeing proof that God is real! Hello! Meet Matt Goss! He and Luke actually used to be in a British boy band called Bros. They had lots of hits and Matt still writes songs and sings. With eyes like a clear blue sea and big strong arms to hold you tight, he could sing "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and still top the charts. Thank you Goss boys for being the double dose of yum that a girl needs! Bless your mother's womb!

Well, that's all for now. When ever you're feeling down and tired of dealing with life's little problems, just come back here and dream for a spell. And if you're using a public computer, have the decency to wipe the drool from the key board before you go!

Happy Hump Day!

OMG! I didn't invent the term "Blackistan"!!!!!!

So, if anybody has read my page "Escaping Blacklistan" you would know that I give a step-by-step guide on how to do just that. I totally, totally thought that this was something that I came up with first. As I mentioned, it just came after I actually looked up what "-stan" at the end of a country's name meant. Well, after browsing another sister's site, "CW at Black Women Deserve Better", I followed her link to find that back in 2009, the author of "Don't Bring Home a White Boy", Karyn Leghorne Folan, actually used the trope first. I am shocked! I had no idea. And as it is clearly all over the internet nearly 3 whole years before I got in the blogesphere, I truly hope that any who may have noticed the discrepancy will understand that I HONESTLY had no idea and would never claim to have started something that could have been so easily disproven. I guess great minds really do think alike, if I could be so bold as to compare myself to Mrs. Folan. I am never one to highjack anybody else's creativity or stake credit for things that I never did so I just wanted to clear that up and give credit where it's due.

LOVE...Not Propaganda

*I am asking that you spread this to every Black Woman you know

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to get married. I used to read the story of Ruth and Esther in the Bible and I used to be so inspired by the Song of Solomon. I dreamed about my wedding day, what dresses I would wear and what kind of dancing we would have. And most importantly, I thought about the man that I would marry. He would be tall, dashing, romantic, masculine and make me feel like a queen. And, most of all, he would be any color/ethnicity that I just hapened to fancy that day.

Did I mention how much I love my mother? Ever since I was a child, she has told me consistently, that whatever man I married- white, Asian, purple, green- I had her blessing. From the earliest age, I knew that I was welcome to pursue love without fear of my mother's resentment because that is what people do when they actually care about your happiness. They don't ask you to surrender your happiness and your dreams all to achieve some mystical goal that will supposedly produce an inclusive benefit for them. People who love you, let you be self-interested.

They don't ask you to devote your happiness to the good of a failed collective. They do not ask you to make them your priority and for you to accept that you are not theirs. They do not attempt to shame you for your choices or preferences. They do not seek to hurt you or indoctrinate you in hate-filled lies designed to crush your spirit, so that you feel as low as they feel about themselves. They don't hold you- they let go. They don't clip your wings- they give you wings and room to fly. Anybody who pushes their propaganda in order to make you conform to their wishes, is not someone that has your best interest at heart.

Ladies, Black Love is propaganda.

Black Love is not the romantic or committed relationship between two people of the same African originated lineage. That, simply, is just the love between a man and a woman who happen to belong to the same ethnicity. Black Love is a tool to keep Black Women tethered to the Black Community Model and therefore in a constant state of decay and abuse. Anybody with two eyes can see that Black Love- the idea that black men and women were made for/belong to/should prefer one another-is a racist and hateful ideology that forces both black women and men to deny a.) the realities of contemporary black male/black female relationships, b.) to maintain tunnel vision and ignore and pretend that the Black Community is not in a state of decomposition c.) often demands that black women submit to men by demanding that their interests and pursuits revolve around the "community".

We have all heard the interracial dating/marrying statistic by now. A whopping 24% of black American males have out-married compared to 9% of black American females. Add to this incarceration rates of black males, the extortion of black women by the so-called Black Church, the failure of "black leaders" to be effective, the racio-misogyny that is condoned in the hip-hop/rap industry and the fact that this industry is practically the authority on what it means to be black, the drop-out and poor educational prospects of too many black Americans in general and the rise of AIDS among black women and we have some cold, hard realities to face. My dear, dear sisters, whom I love dearly and desire to see you prosper and flourish. If you read nothing else from my blog, please pay very close attention to what I am about to lay out for you. The previous information reveals the following truths:

1. The strengthening and uplift of the Black Community is no longer a priority
2. The strengthening and the uplift of the Black Family is no longer a priority
3. The strengthening, uplift, provision and protection of the Black Female Body is not and has never been a priority
4. The strengthening, uplift, provision, protection and development of the Black Child is no longer a priority
5. The hard won collective dignity of Black Americans has been sold-out by the like of Blacksploitationists such as Dave Chappell, BET and again, the hip-hop community, and is now a thing of the past
6. The hard won gains and strides that our ancestors made to give us the opportunity to better ourselves through education are no longer valued
7. The silence of so-called black leadership, both religious and political, on these issues and their exploitative tactics has really been the source behind the death of Traditional Black Values.
8. The complete abandoning of the original and unique culture and customs handed down by ancestors is no longer of any value

There are many black people around who will tell you that by choosing to love another black person on principle, regardless of what your needs are, that you will actually be seeking to aid and alleviate these issues. Sister: don't drink the kool-aid. That is what they have been saying for several generations and things have only gotten worse. The truth is, that because so many black women have been told that they are under black men, that they have no value apart from black men or away from the Black Community, far too many black women have learned to champion their own self-destruction.

They told you that if you gave a man your body without the security of marriage, that it's just as good as any piece of paper. Nobody ever told you that men do not respect what they easily acquire. They told you that if you supported black males that committed crimes and shielded them from the cops and took up for them, that you would be standing in solidarity and would be doing what a good Black Woman is supposed to do. They have discouraged your self-interest and your commitment to yourself. The only comfort they have allowed you is a church that steals money from you calling it "tithes and offerings". That if you just pay enough, support a man enough, give a man who is clearly too old to be where he is in life a chance, that god will reward you with a good man. They tell you to believe whatever will satisfy their egos and interests, regardless of the effects that it has on you.

They lied to you.

You see, ladies, the Black Community does nothing about prioritizing the needs of Black Women because they have a vested interest in keeping them just how they are- in a constant state of deterioration. Think about this example: if we know that many OOW children will not only limit the life and hopes of a woman but also send children into poverty, shame and neglect, why has there never been as much outcry over this and the racio-misogyny within the community as there was over, say,Troy Davis or Trayvon Martin? Why are black males like Chris Brown hallowed and welcomed back with open arms in spite of their behaviors and treated like kings while women are expected to normalize the abuse they receive? Why did Sharpton actually accuse the state of Florida of not treating the Dunbar Village rapists fairly, compared to white males who had committed similar crimes? Shouldn't every breath that escaped his lungs been raised in protest to decry these disgusting rapists and disassociate black identity from their crimes? Why has the Black Establishment allowed and continues to allow black males to remain unaccountable? Why would they rather have you, the main person likely to be victimized by them, constantly in a state of self-reflection, supposedly for your own good, all the while demanding that they be the "leaders"? Isn't it the leaders who are supposed to self-criticize and be in self-examination and change their actions? Now here is the hard truth:

It is never going to change. Never.

You MUST come to terms with the fact that the Black Community Project is an absolute FAILURE. Since the 1980's it has been in a constant state of decay and failure and is now finally dead. No self-respecting community would allow the most vulnerable members to be attacked, unprotected or welcome outsiders to abuse them. You MUST understand and FINALLY ADMIT TO YOURSELF that you do not belong to a group of men who give a DAMN about your feelings, your insecurities or your dreams. You may find individuals who do, but as a whole, the black male collective has said it's piece and you are fool if you do not listen.

Therefore, it is time for us to be about ourselves as individual women who are proud of both our unique femininity and our heritage. Take a stand for your fore mothers and do not allow the honor of Black Womanhood to be sacrificed any longer for the sake of black male egoism. Put your needs and desires FIRST and I am begging you to please, please PLEASE MOVE ON. That doesn't necessarily mean to choose men of other ethnicities, it means to move on from a mind-set and mentality that will kill you and will kill your daughters. Do you really want this to continue? Do you really want to see another generation of Black Girls feels the same pain and anger that you do? Fight. And if you don't fight for yourself, who will be left to fight for them?
